Piano lessons won by his parents at a synagogue raffle laid the foundation for his musical education, which he quickly supplemented with turntables, MIDI keyboards, and Ableton. By the age of 12, he was already making waves in the industry, becoming the youngest person ever to place in a DMC DJ competition. Despite his prodigious talent, Afriqua's career hasn't always been smooth sailing. He was expelled from the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London for his rebellious spirit, but this setback only fueled his determination to succeed. Relocating to Berlin, he continued to hone his skills as a DJ, impressing audiences across the city with his eclectic taste and fearless experimentation.
